TBCON 2002 Resources
While TBCON 2002 is over, you can still get a taste of it by checking
out these links:
Click2learn ToolBook Design Awards
Congratulations to Teach Concepts AG and Guido Walter for winning the
Click2learn ToolBook Design Award in the category of "Most Creative Use of
ToolBook." Their beautiful application, "Tutorial db-direct MC 3.0," was
selected for its thorough realization of training needs.
Congratulations also to QLogic Corporation and Duane Engle for winning the "Best
ToolBook Online Training" category. Due to a logistics mix-up with conference
staff, this entry was not reviewed at TBCON but the award was made after the
conference.
Thank you to Click2learn for sponsoring this contest and Scott Anderson of
Click2learn for organizing the judging!
Hack-Ack
Mauro Rech took first prize again -- this year with John Hall helping out. Don
Bowyer’s fun web-enabled Connection’s game took second, while Simon Price and
Chet Kenisell finished third. The judging was especially difficult this year,
with the whole pack finishing tightly together. Other Hack Ack participants
were Ron Wincek, Virginia Bender, Bill Armstrong, and Peter Jackson all of whom
created and presented some wonderful applications. All six Hack Ack entries
plus "exhibition only" entries from Denny Dedmore and Michael Brophy are
distributed on the conference CD.

I had a great time, accommodations were surprisingly comfortable (Loomis Hall), food was out of this world, and of course the sessions themselves were A number 1! My Hats off to the entire team.

Best conference I have attended since 1997. Actually, better than Asymetrix's old conference in Belview and LA.

First of all, it was awesome...lots to do and some really great sessions!!! The socials were really really fun, the lodgings were better this year (at least for me anyway in those new apartments), and there was lots to be learned!

Thank you very much for hosting the ToolBook and VBTrain.Net conference - I had no idea how much I was truly missing by not attending. I'm so impressed by what I learned that I'll be sending other people from my office to attend as well - outstanding.

I would highly recommend attending TBCON. My work colleagues and I have attended the past two TBCONs and feel that each year what we have learned at TBCON has accelerated our use and knowledge of ToolBook by at least 6 months. There are many sessions at TBCON that are good for beginners; but I would especially recommend the preconference workshops as they will enable you to get hands-on experience using ToolBook. Best of all, you will meet lots of people who will become valuable resources for you as you become more familiar with ToolBook.
